Miracle Mbaekwe
PhD Student
Miracle Mbaekwe is a PhD student of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. His doctoral research focuses on the techno-economic analysis, design optimisation, and reliability of offshore wind-to-hydrogen systems, with an emphasis on advancing sustainable and cost-effective pathways for large-scale green hydrogen production.
Miracle holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nigeria. His broader expertise spans engineering design and construction, energy systems modelling, low-carbon solutions, and project management, enabling him to effectively bridge technical analysis with economic, environmental, and policy considerations.
Driven by a strong commitment to sustainability, climate action, and human development, Miracle has led and contributed to impactful initiatives in both Nigeria and the UK, and actively participates in international dialogues on energy transition and sustainable development.
